Jesus Is The Medicine

The most misunderstood subject by so many people on earth is what or who is the way to
heaven. So many people believe that God has not chosen only one way to get to Him. Their
philosophy is that different religious faiths may have different tenets and understandings of life,
eternity, and deity; they believe that the destination of all people of faith is the same-heaven.
This is simply not true!

How is such a conclusion logical? Is it not  logical that God who made the heavens and the
earth has the sole right to say how everybody can get to Him and inherit everlasting life?  I
absolutely believe He has the right. He has said and revealed to all humanity through the Holy
Bible that Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, is the only way to Him. John 3:16 states, “For
God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him
should not perish, but have everlasting life” (KJV). Yes!  God loves you and He does not want
you to spend eternity in hell. He is very merciful and compassionate. You may say, “Well, thank
God for His love and the death of  Jesus on the cross of Calvary but I want to struggle by myself
and get to heaven to tell God how serious I am in paying the price for my sins.”

The truth is that your personal efforts to be saved do not mean anything to God. In actual fact, it
is an insult to Him. You are telling God that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary
does not mean anything to you. That is just a way of telling God that you know more than He
does. Have you been telling God that? By refusing to respond to the free offer of salvation by
faith in Jesus Christ, you are indeed saying so. Think about it. Salvation is a free gift  (See
Romans 10:9-12; Ephesians 2:8-9).
The prophet Isaiah says, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as
filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away”
(Isaiah 64:6-KJV).
Also, God speaking through Apostle Paul to every human being, says, “For all have sinned and
come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23-KJV).  But wait a minute!  There is hope! The next
two verses say, “Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ
Jesus: Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in His blood, to declare His
righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God”
(Romans 3:24-25-KJV). What we are discussing here is not religion.  Religion is  nothing but
faith-in-faith. Christianity is faith in a person-Jesus Christ!

Religion consists of rules that followers must observe; the followers believe that by obeying
those rules they will have peace, joy, and eternal life.  Their followers believe that the
observance of those rules and personal efforts can earn them salvation and acceptance from
God and ultimately take them to heaven. This is absolutely not possible. For God does not go
against His Word. Religion cannot save you no matter the good works you think you are doing.
Christ-less church going cannot save you because it too is nothing but religion. Only Jesus can
save you! He already paid the price for sin on the cross of Calvary, where He shed His precious
blood and died to save and free us from the bondage of sin. You should not make up your own
way and think that you will meet God in eternity. Christ is the only way. Forgiveness of sin is only through the blood of Jesus Christ (See Ephesians 1:7).

God who wonderfully created the universe has prescribed the only way to inherit everlasting life.  
Remember that sin is the problem. The only solution is the efficacious and precious blood of
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the only antidote (medicine) to cure the
spiritual disease of sin that we all inherited from Adam and Eve. God loves you so much and He
cares for you as an individual.

Once again, think deeply as you read these words from the Holy Scripture: “Jesus saith unto
him I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6-
KJV). Jesus answered and said unto him, “Verily, Verily, I say unto thee,   except a man be born
again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3-KJV). “Neither is there salvation in any
other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be
saved” (Acts 4:12-KJV). You must be born again to go to heaven and escape the judgment of
God that will make you end up in hell. Do not be deceived, there is heaven and there is hell. But
the choice is yours!  The decision is in your own hands. The word of God says that Jesus Christ
“...was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of
our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5-KJV).

What are you waiting for? Reduce the number of those going to hell by accepting Jesus Christ
today into your heart as your Savior and Messiah and make Him the Lord and Master of your life.  Believe the Lord Jesus Christ and it shall be well with your soul. You will not regret it if you do.

You can now say this sinner’s prayer, “Lord Jesus, I confess all my sins to you today; wash and
cleanse me with your precious blood that you shed for me on the cross of Calvary. I repent of all
my sins. Lord Jesus Christ, come into my heart right now. I accept you as my only Lord and
personal Savior. Forgive me all my sins. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus Christ’s name-
